Oval House is a friendly and luxurious B&B situated near the centre of the historic market town of Brampton in Cumbria.
It was built in 1749 on land purchased from the Earl of Carlisle
and in 1996 we refurbished it whilst retaining its Georgian character, charm and warmth.
Oval House is situated close to the world heritage site of Hadrian's Wall and the historic Carlisle, with it's castle and one of the smallest and most northerly cathedrals in England. As well as the Cumbrian cycle way and Championship Golf course, Brampton is an area of outstanding natural beauty including the nearby Gelt Woods and close by to the scenic Lake District. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a major city, Newcastle is 45 minutes away and offers a shoppers delight! Whatever you wish to do, we are on hand to help you get the most out of your stay.
